SYSTEM This series explores how the individual gradually becomes absorbed into the systems of the city — networks of roads, energy, information, devices, and regulation.
From transmission towers, highway signs, and construction machinery to screens, electrical outlets, cables, medicine, and the body, the city appears not simply as a place to live, but as a continuously operating apparatus. Within it, people are connected, directed, maintained, and eventually become part of the system itself.
The work traces this subtle process of alienation. As everyday life becomes increasingly dependent on interfaces, wires, screens, and infrastructure, the boundary between the body and the city begins to dissolve. We continue to inhabit our private lives, while quietly becoming integrated into a larger, colder, and largely invisible order.
